The DJI Talos T60X OEM Flow Meter Module (Incl. Signal Cable) is the measuring instrument of the Talos T60X spraying system: the module that sits in the spray line, measures how much liquid is actually moving through it, and reports that reading to the aircraft through its signal cable. It is listed by the supplier for the Talos T60X and is supplied as the meter with its signal cable, as the name states. In the supplier photograph it is a black rectangular module with two round ports on its top face and two mounting lugs at its base, with a black signal cable leaving the bottom, a white-sleeved section near its far end, and a black plug with an orange band. Operators look for it when the meter body is cracked, leaking or damaged in a crash, when the flow reading stays wrong after the cable has been ruled out, or when they want the meter and cable together after both have been damaged. It is searched as the T60X flow meter, the Talos flow sensor, the T60X flowmeter module or the Talos flow meter with cable.

📦 Package Includes

  • 1 × DJI Talos T60X OEM Flow Meter Module
  • 1 × flow meter signal cable, as shown attached in the supplier photograph, with a black plug and orange band at its far end

The meter and its signal cable, together. It is the measuring module and the lead that carries its reading, not a pump, not a valve and not a hose kit.

Not included: hoses, hose clamps, seals or O-rings at the ports, mounting screws, the solenoid valve, the pump, the filters, or any other wiring harness. Reuse sound fixings from the meter you remove, and replace any port seal that is flattened, cracked or swollen.

If only the cable is damaged and the meter body is sound, the DJI Talos T60X OEM Flow Meter Signal Cable is the cable on its own.

🔧 Component Overview

A spray aircraft cannot see liquid. It has to be told how much is moving, and on the Talos T60X that is the flow meter's job. Liquid from the pump passes through the meter; the meter measures it and sends the reading back to the aircraft over its signal cable. Everything the aircraft does with flow — showing the rate, holding the application rate, judging when the tank is running dry — starts with that number.

In the supplier photograph the module is a black rectangular body. Two round ports stand up from its top face, and two lugs at its base carry the mounting fixings. The signal cable leaves from the bottom of the module, runs down to a section sleeved in white, and ends in a black plug with an orange band. The exact installed position on the T60X spray line is not published for this part, so compare the body, the ports and the plug with the meter you removed.

The module does two jobs in one body: it carries liquid, so it has to be sealed and sound; and it measures, so its sensing element has to be clean and undamaged. It can fail at either.

What the flow meter lives with over a season:

  • Every litre the aircraft sprays passing through its body
  • Agricultural chemicals and fertilizer mixes in contact with its passages
  • Fine particles that pass the filters and reach its sensing passage
  • Residue that dries inside it when the line is not rinsed
  • Pump pressure and pulsation through its ports
  • Vibration from the propulsion system and spray pump
  • Impact loads from hard landings and crashes
  • Washing water reaching its body and its cable

Meter modules are replaced when the body is cracked or leaking, a port is broken, the module has been damaged in a crash, or the reading stays wrong after the cable, the plug and the line have all been checked.

⚙️ Functional Purpose

The flow meter's engineering role is to turn moving liquid into a number the aircraft can use. It does that in three steps:

  • Carrying — liquid enters and leaves through its ports, so the whole flow passes the sensing element
  • Measuring — the sensing element inside the module responds to the liquid moving through it
  • Reporting — the reading travels to the aircraft along the signal cable and through the plug

The three steps fail in different places. A cracked body leaks but may still measure. A damaged sensing element measures wrongly with a dry, sound body. A damaged cable or plug loses the reading with a perfectly good meter. Only the first two are faults of the module itself.

What the flow meter module does not do:

  • It does not move liquid; the pump does that
  • It does not open or close the line; the solenoid valve does that
  • It does not filter the mix; debris that reaches it can upset its reading
  • It does not set the application rate; it reports flow so the aircraft can

🔍 Diagnosis — buy the module when the meter body is at fault, not the wire

Flow faults reach the operator as a number on the remote controller that does not match what the aircraft is doing. The question that decides the repair is where that number goes wrong: in the meter body, in the signal cable and its plug, or in the line around the meter. Only one of those three is solved by a new meter module.

Signs that point at the meter module itself:

  • A crack, split or weep in the meter body, rather than at a hose joint
  • A broken or cracked port
  • Crash or impact damage to the module
  • A reading that is wrong in a consistent way — always high, always low — with a sound cable and a clean line
  • Residue or debris visibly lodged in the meter's passage that will not flush out
  • A wrong reading that stays the same when the meter is fitted with a known-good cable

Signs that point at the cable or plug instead:

  • The reading drops to zero or flickers while liquid is visibly spraying
  • The fault comes and goes when the cable is moved or the aircraft vibrates
  • A cut, crushed or chafed section of cable, or a damaged white-sleeved section
  • Corrosion, residue or bent contacts in the plug
  • A fault that started after the cable was snagged or pinched

Signs that point at the line around the meter:

  • Low flow with a low reading: the reading is probably right; check the filters, pump and valve
  • A reading that wanders as filters load and recovers after cleaning
  • A reading that is unsteady while air is drawn into the line from a loose joint or an empty tank

Work in this order:

  • Clean the filters and rinse the line, then retest the reading with clean water
  • Inspect the cable along its whole length and the plug contacts; clean and reseat the plug
  • If a known-good cable is available, try it; if the reading recovers, replace the cable only
  • Inspect the meter body and ports for cracks and leaks
  • Only when the body is damaged, or the reading stays wrong on a good cable and a clean line, replace the module

The order matters because the cable is the part most often damaged and the module is the part most often bought. Ruling out the cable first keeps a sound meter on the aircraft.

⚠️ Common Replacement Indicators

Replace the flow meter module when inspection confirms one of these:

  • A crack or leak in the meter body
  • A broken, cracked or loose port
  • Crash or impact damage to the module
  • A reading that stays wrong with a known-good cable, clean filters and a rinsed line
  • Debris or set residue in the meter passage that will not flush out
  • Both the meter and its cable damaged, for example in the same crash

Inspect these as well, because they produce similar symptoms:

  • The flow meter signal cable and its plug
  • The spray tank filter and the Filter With 50 Holes
  • The pump and the solenoid valve
  • Hose joints on both sides of the meter, where air can be drawn in

There is no published service interval for the flow meter module. It is replaced when it is damaged or its reading is proven wrong, not on a schedule.

🛠️ Installation & Maintenance

Before installation

  • Power the aircraft down and remove the battery
  • Empty the tank and rinse the spray line through with clean water
  • Wear the gloves and eye protection the product label calls for; liquid remains in the meter after rinsing
  • Photograph the meter in place, with both ports, the hose directions, the lugs and the cable route visible
  • Label the hoses so each goes back on the same port, and note which way the liquid flows through the meter
  • Compare the new module with the old one: body, ports, lugs and the plug at the end of the cable

During installation

  • Unplug the signal cable at the aircraft end first, without pulling on the wire
  • Release the hose clamps and work each hose off its port; catch the liquid that drains
  • Release the lug fixings and lift the meter out, then free the cable from its route without dragging the plug through tight gaps
  • Fit new port seals if the old ones are flattened, cracked or swollen
  • Fit the new meter in the same orientation as the old one, with the flow running the same way
  • Secure the lugs evenly; DJI does not publish a torque figure for them, so do not over-tighten into the body
  • Route the new cable along the old path, away from sharp edges and moving parts, and secure it where the old one was secured
  • Clean and dry the aircraft-side socket, then seat the plug fully

After installation

  • Fill the tank with clean water and check both ports for leaks
  • Power up on the ground and confirm there are no spraying-system warnings on the remote controller
  • Run the spray system on clean water and confirm a steady, plausible flow reading
  • Carry out the flow calibration in the aircraft's app where the app provides one
  • Hover-test with water before a working flight
  • Record the replacement, and whether the old fault was in the body or the cable, in the maintenance log

Maintenance between jobs. Rinse the spray line through with clean water at the end of every spray day so residue does not dry in the meter. Keep the filters clean and intact, because debris that reaches the meter can upset its reading. When the aircraft is washed, keep water off the plug and check the cable route for new chafe. A cable fault found early is a cable; left alone, it becomes a day of chasing a reading that will not settle.

🚜 Necessary For

The flow meter module is for operators and technicians whose Talos T60X flow measurement has failed at the meter itself:

  • Talos T60X operators with a cracked, leaking or crash-damaged flow meter
  • Operators whose flow reading stays wrong after the cable and line have been ruled out
  • Commercial spray contractors and applicators who depend on accurate application rates
  • Service centres and repair technicians rebuilding spraying systems
  • Fleet managers replacing a meter and cable damaged together

This is not the part you need if:

  • Only the cable or its plug is damaged — the DJI Talos T60X OEM Flow Meter Signal Cable is the cable on its own
  • The reading drops out when the cable is moved — that is the cable or plug, not the meter
  • Flow and reading are both low — the reading is probably right; check the filters, pump and valve
  • The leak is at a hose joint beside the meter — replace the seal, hose or clamp
  • The reading recovered after cleaning the filters and rinsing the line — the meter is sound
  • You fly any aircraft other than the Talos T60X — the module is listed for the T60X only

💡 Why This Part Matters

The flow meter module is the most expensive way to fix a flow reading, and often not the right one. A wrong number on the remote controller has three possible homes: the meter body, the signal cable and its plug, and the line around the meter. Only the first is fixed by a new meter.

The cable is the part that takes the abuse. It is routed through the airframe, flexed during maintenance, washed, vibrated and occasionally snagged. A meter with a damaged cable reports nothing, or reports intermittently, and looks for all the world like a failed meter. The filters and the line can make a sound meter read low or unsteadily, too.

So the honest advice is in the order of the checks. Clean the filters and rinse the line. Inspect the cable and the plug. Try a known-good cable if one is available. Look at the body and the ports. If the body is cracked or the reading stays wrong on a good cable and a clean line, the meter is the fault, and this module is the repair.

When it is the meter, this module is also the right repair for a reason of its own: it comes with its signal cable. A meter damaged badly enough to need replacing has often had its cable pulled, crushed or stressed in the same event. Fitting both together means the measuring path is new from end to end.

A new flow meter module restores what the spraying system depends on: an accurate number for the liquid that is actually moving.

Is the signal cable included? Yes. The module is supplied with its signal cable, as the name states. Hoses, clamps, seals and fixings are not included.

Which aircraft does it fit? It is listed by the supplier for the Talos T60X. Compare the body, ports, lugs and the plug at the end of the cable with the meter you removed.

What is the part number? Send us a photograph of the label on the part you removed and we will match it before it ships.

My flow reading is wrong. Do I need a new meter? Not necessarily. Clean the filters, rinse the line, and inspect the cable and plug first. Replace the module when the body is damaged or the reading stays wrong on a good cable and a clean line.

The reading drops to zero while it is spraying. Is it the meter? More often it is the cable or plug. A reading that drops out while liquid is visibly moving, or changes when the cable is moved, points at the signal path.

Can I buy just the cable? Yes. The DJI Talos T60X OEM Flow Meter Signal Cable is the cable on its own, for when the meter body is sound.

My meter is leaking. Is it the meter or the hose? Dry everything and run clean water. Wetness at a hose joint is the seal, hose or clamp. Wetness from the body itself, or a cracked port, is the meter.

Does it need calibrating after fitting? Carry out the flow calibration in the aircraft's app where the app provides one, and confirm a steady, plausible reading on clean water.

What flow range does it measure? The flow range and measuring principle are not published for this part. It is matched against the meter you removed.

Can I fit it myself? Most technicians can. Photograph and label the hoses, note the flow direction, unplug the cable first, and route the new cable along the old path.

Does the direction matter? Yes. Fit it the same way round as the meter you removed, with each hose on the same port.

Can debris affect the reading? Yes. Particles or set residue in the meter passage can upset it. Keep the tank filter and inline filter intact and rinse the line every day.

Is there a service interval? No published interval. It is replaced when it is damaged or its reading is proven wrong.

Is it a genuine DJI part? Yes. It is a genuine DJI OEM spray-system component, brand new, supplied with its signal cable.
