Talos T60X spray system | Long spray boom hose with end clamps

This flexible hose section carries spray liquid between fittings on the boom. It is a field spare for a line that has split at a clamp, worn through at a contact point or developed a kink that restricts flow. Before choosing it, identify the two fittings your original hose connects. Several different hose sections serve the T60X spray system.

✅ Compatibility and fitment

The pictured hose is the supplier’s long spray boom version, labeled for T60, T50 and T25 aircraft. For a Talos T60X, match the installed hose position and dimensions before ordering. The T60X catalog distinguishes the rear sprinkler hose, aircraft arm hose and flow-meter inlet hose. These names refer to different runs in the liquid circuit.

  • Photograph the original hose in place so both ends and its route are visible.
  • Measure its relaxed end-to-end length, inside diameter and outside diameter. The bore must fit the fittings, and the outside diameter matters for clamp selection.
  • Compare the bend, clearance and clamp locations. A line pulled tight across a bend can flatten or work loose at an end.

📦 Hose and hardware

The supplier describes a long spray boom hose with two clamps and shows a “2 SET” option. Confirm the total hose and clamp count for the selected pack before ordering multiple sets. Sealing rings for mating fittings are selected separately by fitting position and size.

🔧 Component overview and function

The hose provides a flexible liquid passage between rigid fittings. The spring clamps secure its ends. A clamp can hold a sound hose in position, but tightening or replacing a clamp cannot repair a split wall. Identify whether liquid first appears at the hose wall, beneath the clamp or at the fitting joint before selecting replacement parts.

⚠️ When to replace or inspect

Observation What to check
A split, puncture or abrasion is visible on the hose wall. Inspect the surrounding boom for the rubbing point and check the hose routing before fitting a replacement.
The hose end weeps where it sits on the fitting. Check for a damaged end, a distorted clamp or an imperfect fitting surface. If the leak starts at an adjacent sealed joint, identify the correct sealing ring separately.
Flow is weak at one spray position. Look for a flattened bend, trapped debris or a restriction downstream. Low flow alone does not establish that the hose needs replacement.

🚜 Field spares and service

Store the spare with the intended boom position marked on its bag. Keep the ends clean and the hose free of sharp folds. For a field kit, bag any matching sealing rings separately and identify the joint each ring services. After replacement, follow the aircraft service procedure for a clean-water flow and leak check before returning the spray system to application work.

💬 Common questions

Is “long” enough to identify the right T60X hose?
No. It identifies the supplier’s option. Compare both endpoints and the actual dimensions with the installed hose or its parts-diagram reference.

Does this hose replace a tank or pump seal?
The hose joins two fittings. A seal inside a fitting is a separate part. Locating the first sign of seepage helps distinguish the two repairs.

What should I send Ares Acres for a match?
Send a photo of the hose installed, a close-up of both fitting ends, the measured length and diameters, and any reference on the original packaging. If your operation requires genuine OEM parts, request origin confirmation for the specific hose before ordering.
