DJI Agras T70P emergency procedures decision guide

DJI Agras T70P Emergency Procedures: Battery, C2 Link, Propulsion Failure, Crash & Fire

DJI gives the T70P a dedicated Emergency Procedures chapter rather than scattering the responses across unrelated sections. The key is to identify the failure mode correctly: a critical battery warning, RTK/GNSS loss, C2-link loss and a propulsion failure require different responses.

Quick Answer: For critical low battery or voltage, the T70P automatically descends and lands and the landing cannot be cancelled. For critical overheating, land or RTH immediately. If RTK is lost, the aircraft can fall back to GNSS; if GNSS is also lost, it enters Attitude mode and should be landed as soon as possible. If the controller signal is lost for more than three seconds, the aircraft executes the configured signal-lost action. A single propulsion failure has a specific manual flight direction; multiple propulsion failures are expected to result in a crash.

Obstacle avoidance emergency

Within the declared obstacle-avoidance boundaries, the aircraft can brake for detected obstacles. If it does not brake automatically, use the controller to brake or avoid the obstacle manually. For moving aerial obstacles such as another drone or manned aircraft, check app prompts, observe the environment and manually climb or descend to create separation.

Critical low battery / critical voltage

When the critical low-battery or critical-voltage warning appears, the aircraft automatically descends and lands. DJI states that this landing cannot be cancelled.

Critical overheated warning

If a critical overheat warning appears, control the aircraft to land or Return to Home immediately.

Loss of navigation systems

With fixed RTK positioning, loss of RTK causes the aircraft to switch to GNSS. If GNSS also becomes unavailable, the aircraft enters Attitude mode automatically. In Attitude mode it can drift and supports only manual flight. DJI instructs the operator to fly cautiously and land as soon as possible.

Loss of C2 link

If the remote-controller signal is lost for more than three seconds, the aircraft executes the configured lost-signal action: RTH by default, landing or hover. If set to RTH, it enters Failsafe RTH. If the link is restored during return, the pilot can cancel RTH and regain control.

Single propulsion failure

DJI gives a specific response when one propulsion unit fails: use the controller to adjust the flight direction so the aircraft flies forward along the arm with the failed motor, then manually return home or land along that direction. After landing, photograph the site, upload complete flight logs and contact official support or an authorized dealer.

If more than one propulsion motor fails, DJI states that the aircraft will crash.

Aircraft out of control

If the aircraft may crash into a crowd or building, evacuate people within a 50 m radius. Attempt to hover, then attempt Smart RTH. If the aircraft cannot hover and RTH cannot be triggered, DJI gives the emergency motor-stop combination: hold C1, C2 and Flight Pause until the motors stop. This causes a crash but can reduce a greater risk to people or property.

Aircraft crash

Evacuate a 50 m radius, photograph the crash site and upload complete flight logs. Do not reuse the flight battery. Remove it and place it in an open area away from flammable materials, then contact official support or an authorized dealer.

Flyaway

Use the aircraft and controller positions shown in DJI Agras to search for the aircraft. If GNSS was lost, estimate the likely location from the last known position, speed and heading. Record the aircraft model, time, location, task status and direction of loss before contacting support.

Fire

Move nearby flammable materials more than 5 m away. If the fire is controllable, the manual instructs use of a large amount of sand and water cooling, then battery immersion in an appropriate salt solution for more than 72 hours to fully discharge before disposal. If uncontrollable, move flammables away, extend the safety distance to more than 10 m and evacuate people until the battery burns out and the fire is extinguished.

Service handoff after an emergency

Do not choose replacement parts from the warning name alone. After a propulsion or sensing incident, use logs and physical inspection to identify the affected subsystem. Model-specific repair hardware is organized in the DJI Agras T70P Parts and DJI Repair Kits collections.
