DJI D12000iE: Checklist Pre-Operación — Oil, Fuel, Air Filter y Seguridad

1. Engine switch OFF
Complete the inspection before normal startup.
2. Stable surface
The generator should be stable for reliable oil/fuel checks and safe operation.
3. Check for engine-oil spills
Look around and beneath the generator for fresh oil, residue or visible leakage.
4. Check for fuel spills
Fuel leakage is both a readiness problem and a fire hazard.
5. No smoking near fuel tank
DJI warns to keep smoking, flames and sparks away from the fuel system.
6. Remove flammable material
Pay particular attention to the muffler and fan-hood area.
7. Outdoor use only
The exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Use the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated location, not in enclosed spaces.
8. Inspect rusted, broken, damaged or deformed parts
Do not classify obvious structural damage as a normal operating condition.
9. Check for loose parts
Vibration can worsen loose hardware, so resolve it before charging or powering equipment.
10. Muffler shield
Confirm it is installed securely.
11. Fan hood
Confirm it is secure and that airflow is not obstructed.
12. Nuts, bolts and screws
Check for looseness. This pre-operation source does not publish universal torque values, so do not invent them.

13. Fuel level
DJI recommends filling the fuel tank before operation.
14. Rated fuel capacity
The guide lists a 30 L rated fuel capacity.
15. Do not overfill
Follow the intended fuel-system level rather than filling beyond the design limit.
16. Do not power on before adding gasoline and oil
DJI warns that powering on before gasoline and engine oil are added can damage the electronic fuel pump.
17. Fuel-delivery problems need a separate diagnosis
If evidence points to fuel delivery, the catalog includes the D12000iE Fuel Pump Assembly. Do not replace it just because fuel level was low.
18. Engine-oil level
Oil condition belongs to every pre-operation check.
19. Rated engine-oil capacity
The guide lists 1.1 L.
20. Oil specification
Use SJ 10W-40 or equivalent according to the guide.
21. Low-oil protection
The built-in oil sensor can stop the engine when oil falls below the safety level.
22. Low-oil shutdown is not automatically an electrical starting fault
Rule out oil condition before selecting starter/control components.
23. Oil Dipstick / Filler Cap
This is the exact routine service interface for level checks and oil fill.
24. Sponge air-filter element
Inspect the sponge element before operation.
25. Dirty sponge reduces airflow
DJI states contamination reduces air entering the EFI unit and reduces generator performance.
26. Do not jump from low performance to EFI replacement
Air-filter condition should be understood first.

27. Grounding
Proper grounding is part of the safe operating setup and helps reduce electric-shock risk if connected equipment fails.
28. Daily GO/NO-GO checklist
- stable outdoor location;
- engine switch OFF for inspection;
- no oil leak;
- no fuel leak;
- no smoking/flame/spark hazard;
- muffler and fan area clear;
- shields secure;
- hardware secure;
- fuel adequate;
- oil adequate;
- sponge filter serviceable;
- grounding plan correct;
- no unresolved warning.
29. If oil is low
Correct the oil condition before startup. Do not repeatedly crank the engine to test whether it will continue running.
30. If fuel is low
Refill before operation and avoid overfill.
31. If a fuel leak is present
Do not proceed to normal operation until the cause is understood and the area is safe.
32. If the sponge filter is dirty
Service it according to the dedicated air-filter procedure before blaming EFI or deeper engine systems.
33. If hardware is loose
Resolve before field use because vibration can increase movement and damage.
34. If the generator was stored for a long period
Complete the return-to-service checks before treating it as ready simply because fuel and oil have been refilled.
35. Pre-operation record
- asset ID;
- location;
- fuel level;
- oil level;
- leak status;
- filter condition;
- muffler/fan area;
- hardware condition;
- grounding status;
- operator GO/NO-GO.
36. Build-specific parts
D12000iE service parts can vary by generator build. Verify fitment before ordering fuel, DC-control or filter components.
37. Error común: no-start = electrical failure
Oil protection or readiness issues may be involved.
38. Error común: fuel pump replacement from low fuel alone
Low level is not pump-failure evidence.
39. Error común: enclosed-space operation
The generator must be operated outdoors with adequate ventilation.
40. Error común: skip daily inspection
Yesterday's successful run does not replace today's pre-operation check.
41. Preguntas frecuentes
Fuel capacity: 30 L. Oil capacity: 1.1 L. Oil: SJ 10W-40 or equivalent. Low oil: can stop the engine. Air filter: dirty sponge reduces performance. Location: outdoors with ventilation.
