Battery Rental Program — DJI Agras T100 / T70P (DB2160 Intelligent Flight Battery)

DB2160 Intelligent Flight Battery rental for DJI Agras T100 / T70P — a technical overview of the flagship pack that ships, how it is verified, how the deployment cycle works, and what the program does and does not include.

1. Program Abstract

This is the battery-only tier of the Ares Acres rental program for the flagship platform: a monthly deployment of a single bench-verified DB2160 Intelligent Flight Battery, dispatched within one business day, for operators who need pack capacity rather than a full integrated assembly. The design objective is a single number — hours from shortfall to back in rotation — held inside 24 to 48 hours for U.S. operators, applied to the aircraft where every partial day costs the most.

2. What Ships — and What Does Not

This program deploys the flight battery on its own:

  • Included: 1 × DB2160 Intelligent Flight Battery — 41,000 mAh, 52 V nominal, approximately 14.7 kg, rated up to 1,500 cycles, supporting 30% → 95% fast charge in roughly 9 minutes on C12000 / D14000iE equipment
  • Not included: the DB2160 Battery Motherboard (BMS control board), the factory-matched upper lid, or any board programming

State that plainly, because on this platform the distinction carries weight. The DB2160 system operates as an integrated assembly — pack, BMS control board, and sealing lid — and this tier supplies only the pack. It assumes your aircraft's control board and lid are in service and working. It adds energy capacity: a pack to fast-charge, swap, and fly. It does not address a control board that has stopped talking to the aircraft. If the aircraft will not recognize a battery, the charger will not begin or complete a cycle, or communication faults persist, that is board behaviour, and the complete DB2160 continuity program is the correct deployment.

4. Pre-Deployment Verification

  • State-of-health check — capacity measured against the pack's rated 41,000 mAh.
  • Cycle-count review — measured against the 1,500-cycle rating; packs beyond program standard are pulled from the deployment fleet.
  • Fast-charge verification — the pack is confirmed completing a high-rate charge cycle as expected, which is the behaviour flagship scheduling depends on.
  • Physical inspection — case, terminals, and connectors checked for swelling, corrosion, heat damage, or moisture ingress.
  • Serialization and record — photographed and logged by serial number before dispatch.

5. Deployment Timeline

  • T+0: Enrollment received. An in-stock, verified pack is assigned.
  • Within one business day: Pack dispatched from our U.S. warehouse with tracking, packaged for battery-safe ground transport at flagship pack weight.
  • T+24–48 hours: Target back in rotation, depending on carrier transit.
  • End of deployment: Return with the documentation we issue; billing ends with the inspected return. Free return shipping.

6. When a Battery-Only Rental Is the Right Call

  • Rotation shortfall on the flagship — the aircraft is healthy but the pack count does not sustain the coverage rate the schedule was written around. On a T100 this is expensive fast, because the whole point of the airframe is throughput.
  • Contract surge — large acreage commitments beyond what the current rotation supports, without a second DB2160 purchase.
  • A pack out for service — one unit away for repair while the flagship keeps working.
  • A worn pack — flight times drifting down on a pack that still charges, communicates, and reports healthy, and is well along its rated cycle life. That is cell wear, which is what this tier replaces.
  • Evaluation before purchase — prove a pack in real field conditions before committing flagship-scale capital, with a buyout path.

7. Uptime Economics

The T100 and T70P cover more acres per hour than anything else in the field, and the contract book gets written against that rate. A rotation one pack short does not ground the aircraft — it quietly lowers the coverage rate the schedule assumed, and on the highest-throughput airframe in the fleet that shortfall compounds faster than anywhere else. Operators commonly attribute thousands of dollars per day to a grounded flagship at peak season; a rotation running below capacity carries a proportional share of the same cost, every day it continues. The program fee prices against that shortfall rather than against the pack, and unlike a purchase it ends the month the need does.

8. Program Mechanics

  • $1,349.99/month, flat. Free U.S. shipping both directions.
  • Deployment length is operator-controlled: a repair window, a peak-season surge, or a full season. No minimum term.
  • Return the pack when your need ends; monthly billing ends with the inspected return.
  • Permanent acquisition (buyout) is available at any point — ask and we will quote it.

9. Service Guarantees

  • Service Delivery Guarantee — priority access to replacement packs from our in-stock U.S. fleet for the life of your enrollment.
  • Dispatch Guarantee — in-stock packs ship within one business day, tracked, every time.
  • USA Compatibility Guarantee — verified for U.S. DJI Agras T100 / T70P aircraft.
  • Satisfaction Guarantee — if the pack does not perform in your aircraft, we make it right.

10. Frequently Asked Questions

Does this include the BMS control board or the lid?
No. This tier is the flight battery only. For the complete integrated assembly — pack, programmed BMS control board, and factory-matched sealing lid — see the DB2160 continuity program.

How do I know whether I need a pack or the full assembly?
Refusal points at the control board; shortfall points at the cells. If the aircraft will not recognize the battery, the charger will not begin or complete a cycle, or communication faults and warnings persist regardless of charge state, that is board behaviour and a pack alone will not clear it. If the pack charges, communicates, and reports healthy but delivers noticeably shorter flights than it used to — consistently, across cool mornings and hot afternoons — that is cell wear, and this program is the right answer. Fast-charge behaviour falling off can point either way. When in doubt, call us before enrolling.

Is the pack new or fleet stock?
Program fleet packs are working, capacity-verified units, bench-checked for state of health and fast-charge behaviour before every deployment.

What if I only need it for one month?
Keep it one month. No minimum term. Return it when your own pack is back in service and billing ends with the inspected return.

Can I convert to ownership?
Yes — ask about the buyout option at any point during your deployment.

What about T50 / T40 aircraft?
See the DB1560 battery rental program.
