Battery Rental Program — DJI Agras T50 / T40 (DB1560 Intelligent Flight Battery)

DB1560 Intelligent Flight Battery rental for DJI Agras T50 / T40 — a technical overview of the pack that ships, how it is verified, how the deployment cycle works, and what the program does and does not include.

1. Program Abstract

This is the battery-only tier of the Ares Acres rental program: a monthly deployment of a single bench-verified DB1560 Intelligent Flight Battery, dispatched within one business day, for operators who need pack capacity rather than a full electronics platform. The design objective is a single number — hours from shortfall to back in rotation — held inside 24 to 48 hours for U.S. operators. Keep the pack a month, keep it a season, return it when the need ends.

2. What Ships — and What Does Not

This program deploys the flight battery on its own:

  • Included: 1 × DB1560 Intelligent Flight Battery — 30,000 mAh, model BAX702-30000mAh-52.22V, 52.22 V nominal, with its integrated battery management system
  • Not included: the DB1560 Battery Motherboard, the motherboard protective lid, or any board programming

That distinction matters, so it is worth stating plainly. This tier assumes your aircraft's battery motherboard is working. It supplies energy capacity — a pack to charge, swap, and fly — not the management board that handles pack-to-aircraft communication. If your aircraft will not recognize a battery, will not charge one, or is throwing communication faults, the fault is more likely in the board than the cells, and a battery alone will not clear it. In that situation the battery + motherboard continuity program is the correct deployment.

4. Pre-Deployment Verification

Every pack passes a fixed bench sequence before it is assigned to an enrollment:

  • State-of-health check — capacity measured against the pack's rated 30,000 mAh.
  • Cycle-count review — packs beyond program standard are pulled from the deployment fleet.
  • Physical inspection — case, terminals, and connectors checked for swelling, corrosion, heat damage, or moisture ingress.
  • Charge verification — the pack is confirmed accepting and completing a charge cycle.
  • Serialization and record — photographed and logged by serial number, so any later support call starts from a known unit.

You receive a documented pack with a known state of health, not an unknown quantity that has to prove itself on your contract acres.

5. Deployment Timeline

  • T+0: Enrollment received. An in-stock, verified pack is assigned.
  • Within one business day: Pack dispatched from our U.S. warehouse with tracking, packaged for battery-safe ground transport. Same-day whenever operationally possible.
  • T+24–48 hours: Target back in rotation, depending on carrier transit.
  • End of deployment: Return the pack with the documentation we issue; billing ends with the inspected return. Free return shipping.

6. When a Battery-Only Rental Is the Right Call

  • Rotation shortfall — the aircraft flies fine, but the pack count does not cover the day's work. This is the most common reason operators enroll here.
  • Contract surge — acreage picked up beyond what the existing pack rotation supports, without the capital outlay of buying another pack outright.
  • A pack out for service — one unit away for repair or warranty, and the rotation needs to stay whole in the meantime.
  • A worn pack — flight times have drifted down across the season on a pack that still charges and communicates normally. That pattern points at cells, not the board, which is exactly what this tier replaces.
  • Evaluation before purchase — run a pack in real field conditions before committing capital. Buyout available if it earns its place.

7. Uptime Economics

A T50 or T40 operation books revenue by the acre and loses it by the day. A rotation running one pack short does not stop the aircraft outright — it shortens the working day, and shortened days across a spray window add up to acres that never got covered. Across regions and crop mixes, operators commonly attribute thousands of dollars per day to a grounded aircraft in season, and a partial day carries a proportional share of that. The program fee prices against the shortfall, not against the pack: a monthly rental that restores a full rotation typically pays for itself inside the first week of use, and unlike a purchase it stops the moment the need does.

8. Program Mechanics

  • $699.99/month, flat. Free U.S. shipping both directions.
  • Deployment length is operator-controlled: one month, a repair window, or a full season. No minimum term, no penalty for a short deployment.
  • Return the pack when your need ends; monthly billing ends with the inspected return.
  • Permanent acquisition (buyout) is available at any point — ask and we will quote it.

9. Service Guarantees

  • Service Delivery Guarantee — enrolled operators have priority access to replacement packs from our in-stock U.S. fleet for the life of their enrollment.
  • Dispatch Guarantee — in-stock packs ship within one business day, tracked, every time.
  • USA Compatibility Guarantee — verified for U.S. DJI Agras T50 / T40 aircraft.
  • Satisfaction Guarantee — if the pack does not perform in your aircraft, we make it right.

10. Frequently Asked Questions

Does this include the battery motherboard?
No. This tier is the flight battery only. If you need the battery management board as well — or if you are not certain which component failed — see the battery + motherboard continuity program.

How do I know whether I need a pack or a board?
The short version: refusal points at the board, shortfall points at the cells. If the aircraft will not recognize the battery, the charger will not complete, or communication faults and warnings persist, that is board behaviour and a pack alone will not fix it. If the pack charges normally, communicates normally, and reports healthy but simply does not fly as long as it used to, that is cell wear — and this program is the right answer. When in doubt, call us before enrolling.

Is the pack new or fleet stock?
Program fleet packs are working, capacity-verified units, bench-checked for state of health before every deployment. You receive a pack we would put on our own aircraft.

What if I only need it for one month?
Keep it one month. There is no minimum term. Return it when your own pack is back in service and billing ends with the inspected return.

Can I convert to ownership?
Yes — ask about the buyout option at any point during your deployment.

What about T100 / T70P aircraft?
See the DB2160 battery rental program.
