No, and keeping that distinction clear saves a lot of wasted troubleshooting. The pump and the flow metering decide how many gallons per acre leave the aircraft. The disc decides what those gallons are turned into once they arrive. If the rate is wrong, look upstream at flow. If the rate is right and the result on the crop is wrong, look at the disc, the atomizer speed, and the settings that control them.
How should I clean a disc between different products?
Soak and rinse rather than scrape. Warm clean water and a soft brush will lift most dried product out of the tooth roots, and a soak is worth the time on anything that has hardened. Keep metal picks, blades, and abrasive pads away from the teeth entirely, because a scratch or a nick in the tooth ring is both an imbalance and a place for the next product to build up. Dry it before it goes back on the seat.
