Talos T60X spray system | Replacement sealing rings | Field repair spares
A sealing ring sits in a groove between two mating parts and keeps spray liquid inside the joint. For a T60X field kit, the most useful way to select a spare is by the joint it services. A pump housing, a pump connector and a tank cover can each take a different seal. The round ring pictured is a shape reference. Its size and material cannot be determined from the photo.
✅ Fitment and parts identification
Start with the T60X parts diagram for the assembly where the leak begins. Record the callout before removing the ring. The pump diagram includes the following references to help identify the required part.
| Diagram description |
Catalog reference |
| Pump connector sealing ring |
YC.XJ.QT000350 |
| Pump sealing ring |
YC.JG.MY001052 |
| Sealing ring, 31.4 mm outside diameter |
YC.JG.MY001315 |
| Sealing ring, 46.5 mm outside diameter |
YC.JG.MY001316 |
These are identification references. They do not identify the photographed ring or specify an assortment. A tank-cover gasket with mounting tabs has its own profile and requires a separate cover-specific match.
📦 Ordering a field spare
Specify the reference, installation position and quantity needed for each joint. If the number is missing, send Ares Acres a photo of the fitting and groove, a face-on photo of the original ring beside a scale, and its relaxed inside diameter, outside diameter and cross-section thickness. A used ring can stretch or flatten, so a diagram callout is a better starting point than dimensions alone. Confirm the pack contents and any OEM documentation required before ordering.
🔧 Function and replacement indicators
The groove locates the seal, and the mating surfaces compress it as the joint closes. A cut, twisted or permanently flattened ring may leave a path for seepage. A new ring also needs a sound seat. A burr, trapped debris or damaged fitting can cause the same joint to leak again.
| Observation |
What to inspect |
| Liquid first appears along a fitting seam. |
Inspect the ring, groove and both mating surfaces at that seam. |
| The hose is wet near a clamp. |
Trace the leak to its origin. A split hose or loose clamp needs a different repair from a seal inside the fitting. |
| A drip starts at the tank lid or cover perimeter. |
Identify the tank and cover version. Compare the complete gasket outline and the position of any mounting tabs. |
📐 Specifications to match
-
Assembly: Talos T60X liquid spray system, selected by fitting position.
-
Dimensions: Match ring diameter and cross-section to the specified groove.
-
Profile and material: Verify against the original part specification, including suitability for the spray mixture and cleaning products used.
-
Ordering unit: Confirm the number of rings per reference when selecting spares.
🚜 Field service and storage
Bag each size separately and label it with the diagram reference and joint location. That lets a technician retrieve the correct spare without stretching several rings over a fitting to test them. Follow the aircraft’s shutdown, draining and cleaning procedures before opening the spray circuit. After reassembly, check the serviced joint with clean water using the manufacturer’s procedure.
💬 Common questions
Can two rings with the same outside diameter fit different joints?
Yes. Cross-section, material and groove geometry also affect sealing. Match the reference whenever available.
Does the spray hose include these rings?
Hose-end clamps secure tubing to a fitting. A sealing ring seats inside a joint. Identify each component separately when assembling a field kit.
What if my original seal has tabs or holes?
Send a photo of the complete outline and the mating cover. The circular O-ring photo cannot establish fit for a shaped cover gasket.
