DJI Agras T100 Mapping & Spraying Operations Guide

The DJI Agras T100 can move from field mapping to route planning, prescription-based application and several spraying modes without forcing every job into the same workflow. The important distinction is that mapping creates or improves the field model, while the spraying modes determine how the aircraft applies material across that field. This guide connects those pieces into one operating sequence.

Start with flow-meter calibration when the application system changes

DJI instructs operators to recalibrate the flow meter when using liquid with different viscosity or when the completed operation shows a large difference between actual and theoretical application amount. Additional sprinklers or changes to the delivery configuration can also require flow calibration.

Flow calibration sequence

  1. Fill the spray tank with approximately 2 L of water.
  2. Open the flow-calibration control from Operation View.
  3. Start calibration and wait for the result in DJI Agras.
  4. If calibration fails, open the notification, resolve the reported problem and recalibrate.

Calibration can be cancelled, but DJI notes that flow-rate accuracy will then continue using the data from before the cancelled calibration. That makes a failed or interrupted calibration a setup issue to resolve before relying on new application-rate settings.

Mapping Operation: create a field model before spraying

Mapping modes capture images of farmland or orchards and reconstruct an HD map. That reconstructed map can then be used to identify fields and plan Route or Fruit Tree operations.

Basic mapping workflow

  1. In Operation View, switch to Route Mapping or Fruit Tree Mapping.
  2. Add boundary points to create the field and adjust the route.
  3. Save the field.
  4. Select the task and start the mapping flight.
  5. Wait for reconstruction to complete.

If a mapping operation is paused or stopped and then a new mapping field is added, the paused/stopped mapping operation cannot simply be resumed as though nothing changed. If the operator exits during reconstruction, the reconstruction can be restarted from the operation list.

What the reconstructed HD map is for

After reconstruction, the map can support Route Planning and Identify Field. The results can be saved to the field list and used in Route or Fruit Tree operation. DJI also supports uploading mapping results to the cloud so they can be bound to the user’s account and accessed from another remote controller.

This matters operationally because a more accurate map improves boundary and obstacle placement. When using crosshairs to add points, DJI recommends the reconstructed HD map or another suitable high-quality map source.

Prescription maps and variable-rate work

Prescription maps allow spatially variable application when the supporting firmware, task data and app workflow are available. The manual describes two import paths:

  • download supported prescription maps from the Cloud section in DJI Agras;
  • import compatible prescription tasks from a microSD card, including tasks produced in DJI Terra or supported external DJI planning tools.

After import, the prescription task appears in the operation list and can be applied to the relevant field before takeoff.

Planning a Route operation

  1. Open Operation View and choose Route.
  2. Select the task type and create the field boundary.
  3. Add obstacles and non-spraying areas where relevant.
  4. Let DJI Agras generate the route.
  5. Adjust route parameters in Flight Route Settings.
  6. Save the field.

Route planning can also support Multiple Fields, Custom waypoint routes and A-B Route depending on the job. Fields can be divided into multiple task areas with different parameters.

Planning a Fruit Tree operation

Fruit Tree operation is designed around orchard-style geometry and reconstructed mapping. The operator can plan on the HD map, add boundary/calibration points and inspect relative route height in 3D where supported. After the field is defined, DJI Agras generates the route and the operator adjusts the route settings before saving.

Performing Route or Fruit Tree operations

Before starting, place the aircraft on open flat ground, power on the controller and aircraft, enter Operation View and select the field. Configure task settings and inspect the route before launch.

Rectify Offset when the digital field and real field do not line up

If the planned field location differs from the actual field, use Rectify Offset to fine-tune the field position before committing to the operation.

Use Connection Points to improve transit and RTH routing

Connection Points can be added to guide the aircraft around obstacles between the launch area and the operation route. They can also influence RTH. Choose the connection routing and RTH altitude according to the actual operating environment.

What the aircraft does after automatic operation starts

Once started, the aircraft flies toward the route, locks its heading in the planned orientation and sprays according to the route/task settings. It does not spray through route-spacing or designated non-spraying segments, but sprays automatically across the active application path.

Pausing during a Route or Fruit Tree task

During an automatic operation, moving the roll or pitch stick can pause the task. The aircraft hovers and records a breakpoint, allowing manual control. A-B Route: a faster two-point operating pattern

A-B Route is useful when the job can be defined from two primary points rather than a fully mapped field. The operator records Point A and Point B, can set heading at those points and then lets DJI Agras generate left/right route variants.

The manual warns that after A or B has been recorded, its position cannot simply be edited in place; start a new A-B operation if the point itself needs to change. Strong GNSS and VLOS remain necessary.

Multitask: sequence multiple fields

Multitask allows the operator to select several fields for continuous operations. Each field can have its own task parameters, or settings can be applied across the selected set. The aircraft completes one task, displays its summary and transitions toward the next selected field.

Manual and Manual Plus operations

Manual operation is suited to small or irregularly shaped areas where a full automated route is not the best fit. In Manual Plus, the aircraft can make preset lateral shifts and automatically spray while accelerating forward, backward or diagonally; it does not spray while moving sideways. Operators can adjust spray amount, flight speed and height above vegetation during Manual Plus, while line spacing remains fixed once configured.
