DJI Agras T70P: Preflight, Takeoff, Flight Modes y Return-to-Home

Para emergency-only motor stop use C1 + C2 + Flight Pause. Smart RTH requiere Home Point recorded y strong GNSS. Low Battery RTH y Failsafe RTH siguen reglas separadas.

Preflight takeoff RTH DJI Agras T70P

1. Compass calibration only when prompted

DJI says compass calibration affects flight safety and should be performed when DJI Agras requests it.

2. Avoid strong magnetic interference during calibration

Do not calibrate near utility poles, steel-reinforced walls or other strong magnetic sources.

3. Remove ferromagnetic objects

Keys, mobile phones and other ferromagnetic items can interfere with calibration.

4. Empty tank recommended

DJI recommends performing compass calibration with an empty tank.

5. Do not calibrate routinely without reason

The manual frames calibration as an app-prompted procedure, not something to repeat before every flight by default.

6. Fully charge all devices

Start preflight with sufficient power in aircraft, controller and related devices.

7. Use genuine components

DJI includes genuine components in its normal-flight preflight requirements.

8. Motors and propellers

Inspect for damage, obstruction and abnormal condition before takeoff.

9. Vision system

Make sure cameras/sensors are clean, unobstructed and in good condition.

10. Radar and antennas

These should also be unobstructed and physically normal.

11. Flight battery secure

Battery installation must be correct and firm.

12. Spray tank secure

Confirm the tank is correctly installed.

13. Arm locks

Verify each lock is fully engaged before takeoff.

14. Cables

Check that relevant cables are securely connected and undamaged.

15. Spraying system: no blockage

Blockage should be resolved before operation.

16. Spraying system: no leaks

Leaks are a preflight fail condition.

17. Sprinklers must operate normally

Function matters, not just visual presence.

18. Remove lightweight debris

Clear plastic bags, fertilizer bags and loose film from the task area so airflow cannot pull them toward propulsion or sensors.

19. Review every DJI Agras warning

Do not ignore an aircraft-status message because takeoff is still technically possible.

20. Payload recommendation

DJI Agras intelligently recommends a payload limit based on aircraft condition and surroundings. Do not exceed it.

21. Starting the motors

Use one of the Combination Stick Commands shown by DJI, then release both sticks once the motors begin spinning.

22. Do not improvise the start command

Use the manufacturer-defined CSC rather than experimenting with stick positions.

23. Emergency motor stop

DJI identifies C1 + C2 + Flight Pause held simultaneously as an emergency-only method to stop the motors mid-flight.

24. Emergency motor stop causes a crash

This action should only be used when deliberately crashing the aircraft reduces a greater risk of injury or property damage.

25. Takeoff surface

Use open, flat ground.

26. Aircraft orientation

The manual instructs the operator to take off with the rear of the aircraft facing the pilot.

27. DJI Agras must be functioning normally

Do not begin normal flight with app malfunction or unresolved aircraft-status errors.

28. Confirm Home Point before takeoff

Home Point status matters directly to Smart RTH and failsafe behavior.

29. Gentle takeoff input

Push the throttle upward gently and rise to a safe height.

30. Do not rush away immediately after liftoff

Use the initial hover to confirm aircraft response, telemetry and stable positioning before beginning the task.

31. Landing surface

Land on an open, flat area.

32. Stop motors after touchdown

Hold the throttle down until the motors stop.

33. Low battery before landing

If a low-battery warning appears before landing is complete, land as soon as possible.

34. Normal mode

Normal mode supports precise positioning when positioning data is healthy.

35. Attitude mode

Attitude mode maintains altitude but not precise horizontal position.

36. Wind matters more in Attitude mode

The aircraft can drift because precise position hold is unavailable.

37. Unexpected Attitude mode

DJI recommends landing in a safe place as soon as possible if weak positioning causes an unexpected mode transition.

38. Smart RTH requirements

Home Point must be recorded and GNSS sufficiently strong.

39. Start Smart RTH

Press and hold the RTH button on the remote controller.

40. Smart RTH can be cancelled

If conditions make manual flight safer, the operator can cancel RTH and control the aircraft.

41. Low Battery RTH

The aircraft calculates whether the current battery state is sufficient to return toward the Home Point.

42. Low Battery RTH is different from critical battery

Critical low battery belongs to the emergency branch and can force an automatic descent/landing that cannot be cancelled.

43. Failsafe RTH

If controller signal is lost and the configured lost-signal action is RTH, the aircraft enters Failsafe RTH.

44. Signal-loss threshold

The emergency chapter specifies that signal loss longer than 3 seconds triggers the configured lost-signal action.

45. Lost-signal options

Depending on configuration, the aircraft can RTH, land or hover.

46. Link restored during RTH

When the connection returns, the operator can cancel RTH and regain control if appropriate.

47. Obstacle avoidance during RTH is conditional

Do not assume RTH is an obstacle-proof autopilot mode.

48. Power lines and small obstacles remain hazards

Sensor blind spots and environment-specific limitations still apply during return.

49. Landing Protection

During automatic landing, Landing Protection normally causes the aircraft to descend to 3 m above ground and hover for landing-area verification.

50. Fixed RTK exception

With fixed RTK positioning, the aircraft lands directly instead of entering the 3 m hover step described by DJI.

51. Full preflight checklist

  • compass status normal;
  • devices charged;
  • propulsion inspected;
  • vision/radar/antennas clear;
  • battery/tank secure;
  • arm locks engaged;
  • cables secure;
  • spray system no blockage/leak;
  • task area clear;
  • DJI Agras warnings reviewed;
  • payload recommendation reviewed;
  • Home Point recorded.

52. Takeoff acceptance checklist

  • open/flat ground;
  • rear of aircraft facing operator;
  • app normal;
  • no aircraft-status errors;
  • Home Point valid;
  • motors started with correct CSC;
  • initial hover stable.

53. RTH planning should happen before takeoff

Know the configured lost-signal action, expected RTH route and obstacles before a link or battery event occurs.

54. Do not treat Home Point as permanent

If your operation changes location, verify the Home Point shown in DJI Agras before relying on RTH.

55. Common error: compass calibration beside steel structures

DJI warns against magnetic interference.

56. Common error: ignoring one app warning because everything else looks normal

Review all messages before takeoff.

57. Common error: using emergency motor stop as a normal stop method

It is for emergency risk reduction only.

58. Common error: assuming RTH will automatically avoid every obstacle

The manual does not support that assumption.

59. Questions

When should I calibrate the compass?

When DJI Agras prompts you.

How do I start the motors?

Use one of DJI's Combination Stick Commands.

What is the emergency motor-stop command?

Hold C1 + C2 + Flight Pause; use only when crashing is safer than continued uncontrolled flight.

What triggers Failsafe RTH?

Controller-signal loss with RTH configured as the lost-signal action.

What does Landing Protection do?

Normally pauses auto landing at about 3 m so the landing area can be verified.
