DJI Agras T70P Mapping & Spraying Guide: Route, Fruit Tree, A-B, Manual Plus & Operation Resumption (Canada)

🇨🇦 CANADA — DJI Agras T70P Mapping & Spraying: Route, Fruit Tree, A-B, Manual Plus & Operation Resumption for Canadian Crops

🇺🇸 Reading from the United States? See the U.S. edition: DJI Agras T70P Mapping & Spraying Guide: Route, Fruit Tree, A-B, Manual Plus & Operation Resumption

This Canadian edition is written for Canadian DJI Agras operators across Canada, from the Prairie grain belt of Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba to the row crops of Ontario and Quebec and the orchards and vineyards of British Columbia and Niagara. It covers flow-meter calibration, mapping, prescription maps, Route and Fruit Tree operations, A-B Route, Manual Plus, breakpoints, Smart Resume and empty-tank handling. The procedure, specifications and warnings below are identical to the original edition linked above — the hardware does not change at the border. What changes for a Canadian operator is the regulatory and purchasing context: the DJI Agras T70P falls into Transport Canada’s medium RPAS class (25–150 kg) and flies within visual line of sight on an Advanced Operations pilot certificate under the November 2025 rules, with a Special Flight Operations Certificate for anything outside that envelope; spraying follows provincial applicator licensing and Health Canada PMRA aerial label directions, and pricing is shown in Canadian dollars. Pesticide application by RPAS is permitted for aerial-registered products under the Health Canada PMRA aerial label directions and your provincial applicator licence — check the label and your provincial rules. Ares Acres stocks T70P spraying-system parts, nozzles and flow-meter components referenced in this guide as genuine DJI Agras OEM parts, ships them to Canada with free standard shipping, and shows CAD pricing at checkout.

Chapter 5 is the operational centre of the T70P manual. It starts with flow-meter calibration, moves through Mapping, Route and Fruit Tree workflows, then adds A-B Route, Multitask, Manual / Manual Plus, Operation Resumption and the Empty Tank Warning.

Quick Answer: Recalibrate the flow meter when liquid viscosity changes or actual usage differs significantly from the theoretical amount. Use Route Mapping or Fruit Tree Mapping to create an HD map, then plan Route or Fruit Tree operations with boundaries, obstacles, non-spraying areas and task parameters. A-B Route records two reference points and automatically generates parallel passes. Manual Plus is intended for smaller or irregular areas. Route and Fruit Tree tasks can record a breakpoint so the aircraft can resume after refilling, changing the battery or manually avoiding an obstacle.

Flow meter calibration

DJI says to recalibrate when using a liquid of different viscosity or when there is a large difference between actual and theoretical liquid usage after an operation. Fill the tank with approximately 2 L of water, open Flow Calibration in Operation View and start calibration. After adding or replacing additional sprinklers, recalibrate the delivery-pump flow rate.

Mapping operation

Choose Route Mapping or Fruit Tree Mapping in Operation View. With Crosshair selected, add boundary points to create the field, save it, start the mapping flight and wait for reconstruction. The reconstructed HD map can then be used for Route Planning and Identify Field.

Mapping results can also be uploaded to the cloud and later downloaded on another remote controller through the same account.

Prescription maps and imported tasks

Variable-rate work can use prescription maps. DJI Agras can download them from the cloud, while tasks planned in DJI Terra or downloaded from DJI SmartFarm Web can be transferred with a microSD card. Downloaded/imported operations appear in the operation list.

Planning Route operations

Select Route and the desired task type. Add field boundary points, then mark obstacles and non-spraying areas. The app generates the route and the operator adjusts parameters in Flight Route Settings. Multiple Fields, A-B Route and Custom waypoint options provide additional planning paths.

Planning Fruit Tree operations

Fruit Tree mode can use a reconstructed HD map and supports 3D review of route height relative to the ground and surrounding objects. Create or edit the field, then adjust route parameters before saving.

Performing Route / Fruit Tree operations

Place the aircraft on open, flat ground, select the operation, configure Task Settings and adjust the route. Rectify Offset can align a planned field with the actual field location. Connection Points can be added to route the aircraft around obstacles on connection or RTH paths. Prescription maps can be applied when required.

Once started, the aircraft flies automatically along the operation route. It does not spray while flying route spacing or non-spraying areas and sprays on the rest of the route. Operators can pause the task with roll/pitch input and manually control the aircraft when required.

A-B Route operation

Set operation parameters, fly to the first point and record A, then record B. Headings can be set for each point. The app generates Route R/R' by default and can switch to L/L'. DJI says Point A and its heading should be recorded before Point B.

Manual and Manual Plus

Manual mode is intended for small or irregular areas. In Manual Plus, the operator can command preset lateral spacing while the aircraft sprays automatically when accelerating forward, backward or diagonally. It does not spray while moving sideways.

Operation Resumption

Route and Fruit Tree operations record a breakpoint when the task is exited under suitable GNSS conditions. This allows the operator to refill, replace the battery or manually avoid an obstacle, then select the breakpoint or another return point and tap Resume.

Smart Resume can calculate an optimal return point based on the breakpoint and aircraft location, reducing unnecessary flight distance while carrying a heavy payload.

Manual obstacle avoidance during a paused task

If automatic bypass fails, the aircraft can switch to Manual mode, record the current position as a breakpoint and hover. Manually fly around the obstacle, select an available return point and resume only after the aircraft has completely cleared the obstacle.

Empty Tank Warning

The aircraft can calculate and display the expected empty-tank point. Enable Display Empty Tank Point and choose the empty-tank action. When the warning appears, sprinklers stop automatically. Land, stop the motors, refill and secure the tank cover before continuing.

Canadian Operator FAQ: T70P Mapping & Spraying Guide

Does Ares Acres ship T70P spraying-system parts, nozzles and flow-meter components to Canada?

Yes. Ares Acres ships genuine DJI Agras OEM parts, including T70P spraying-system parts, nozzles and flow-meter components referenced in this guide, to Canada with free standard shipping, and Canadian customers see CAD pricing at checkout.

Do I need an SFOC to fly the DJI Agras T70P in Canada?

Not for every operation. Under Transport Canada’s November 2025 rules, the DJI Agras T70P falls into the medium RPAS class (25–150 kg) and can be flown within visual line of sight on an Advanced Operations pilot certificate; a Special Flight Operations Certificate is still required for operations outside that envelope, such as beyond visual line of sight or payloads Transport Canada treats as dangerous goods. Confirm current requirements with Transport Canada and your provincial regulator before operating.

Is this mapping and spraying different for Canadian operators?

No. The mapping and spraying described here is identical in every country; only the regulatory framework, the purchasing path and the units used in this guide differ. Confirm current requirements with Transport Canada and your provincial regulator before operating.
