DJI D12000iE Maintenance Schedule: 10H, 20H, 50H, 100H & 300H Service

The D12000iE maintenance schedule combines short engine-oil and air-filter intervals with longer engine and fuel-system service. DJI says the interval should be shortened when the generator is used in dusty, harsh or high-temperature environments.

Quick Answer: Check engine-oil level every operation. Check/clean the sponge filter at 10 hours. Replace engine oil after first use at 20 hours. Check/clean the paper filter at 50 hours and replace it at 100 hours. At 300 hours or 1 year, whichever comes first, service the spark arrestor, F7RTC spark plug, valve clearance and fuel passage. Replace the fuel pipe every two years or when necessary.

Every operation

Check the engine-oil level. DJI specifically warns that low-oil operation can damage the engine and that low-oil damage is not covered by warranty.

10 hours

Check and clean the sponge element in the primary air filter. This filter receives a different maintenance process from the secondary paper filter.

20 hours

The initial engine-oil replacement is listed at the first-use 20-hour point. Subsequent oil maintenance follows the schedule and may need to be shortened in high-temperature operation.

50 and 100 hours

Check/clean the paper filter at 50 hours and replace it at 100 hours. Do not use compressed air on the paper element.

300 hours / 1 year

This interval includes spark-arrestor cleaning, F7RTC spark-plug check/clean/replacement, valve-clearance adjustment and fuel-passage cleaning/replacement. The guide says the 300-hour / 1-year interval is based on whichever comes first.

Fuel-passage service includes checking or replacing the built-in filter mesh of the electronic fuel pump and cleaning the fuel passage and fuel-injection unit. Poor fuel quality can shorten the replacement interval.

Two-year fuel-pipe interval

The fuel pipe is listed for replacement every two years or sooner when necessary.
