DJI D14000iE: Spark Plug F6RTC — Gap, Limpieza, Torque y Reemplazo

DJI D14000iE spark plug F6RTC gap and torque

1. Spark plug model

DJI identifies F6RTC as the original spark-plug model. Do not substitute another type only because the thread appears similar.

2. Stop and fully cool the generator

Spark-plug service begins only after the generator is stopped and cooled completely.

3. Use the dedicated spark-plug socket

The manual specifically calls for the dedicated socket included with the generator package.

4. Inspect the insulator

If the ceramic insulator is broken or cracked, replace the plug instead of attempting to reuse it.

5. Inspect the sealing gasket

A damaged sealing gasket is also a replacement condition.

6. Remove carbon and deposits

Use a stiff wire brush to clean carbon or other deposits from the plug.

7. Electrode gap specification

Set the gap to 0.6–0.8 mm. DJI states correct gap and deposit-free electrodes are necessary for proper engine operation.

8. Do not estimate the gap visually

Use an appropriate measuring tool. The published range is narrow enough that visual guessing is not a reliable service method.

9. Hand-thread first

Thread the plug into the engine by hand for 2–3 rotations before using the socket.

10. Why hand-threading matters

Starting by hand reduces the risk of cross-threading the engine threads.

11. Final torque

Tighten to 20–25 N·m.

12. Loose spark plug risk

DJI warns that an under-tightened plug can contribute to engine overheating.

13. Over-tightening risk

Excess torque can damage the engine threads. Stay within the published range.

14. Maintenance interval context

Spark-plug check/clean/replacement appears in the 300 operating hours / 1 year service group, whichever condition occurs first.

15. Spark plug service is not the entire ignition diagnosis

A cleaned or correctly gapped plug does not prove every ignition component is healthy.

16. If ignition symptoms remain

After fuel supply, oil condition, spark-plug condition and remote-controller diagnostics are understood, the ignition branch may extend to the Ignition Coil with Trigger.

17. Do not replace ignition coil from no-start alone

No-start can also come from oil protection, fuel delivery, cranking hardware, control electronics or activation state.

18. Plug-service checklist

  • generator stopped;
  • generator fully cooled;
  • dedicated socket available;
  • insulator intact;
  • sealing gasket intact;
  • deposits removed;
  • gap 0.6–0.8 mm;
  • hand-threaded 2–3 rotations;
  • final torque 20–25 N·m;
  • engine test completed.

19. Service record

  • generator asset ID;
  • operating hours;
  • service date;
  • plug model;
  • gap before/after;
  • deposit condition;
  • replacement required?;
  • final torque confirmed;
  • post-service result.

20. If plug is heavily carboned

Clean it as specified and also consider the broader engine/fuel condition if deposits return rapidly.

21. If plug is physically damaged

Replace it; cleaning does not correct cracked insulator or damaged gasket.

22. If threads do not start smoothly by hand

Stop. Do not force the plug with a wrench because engine-thread damage can result.

23. If plug is correct but engine still does not start

Return to the broader no-start diagnostic flow: activation, oil, fuel, cranking, ignition and control branches.

24. Error común: wrong plug model

Use F6RTC unless DJI specifies otherwise for the exact build.

25. Error común: torque before hand-threading

Start by hand first.

26. Error común: over-tightening

Do not exceed the published 20–25 N·m range.

27. Error común: assume clean plug = healthy ignition system

Other ignition/control components can still be involved.

28. Preguntas frecuentes

Plug model: F6RTC. Gap: 0.6–0.8 mm. Torque: 20–25 N·m. Hand-thread: 2–3 rotations. Service group: 300h/1y.
