The DJI Agras T100S specification sheet is especially interesting in Canada because one number—149.9 kg maximum takeoff weight—places the launch-market aircraft immediately below Transport Canada’s 150 kg upper limit for the medium-drone class. That does not automatically authorize flight, but it changes which regulatory pathway may apply if a Canadian-supported configuration is introduced.

149.9 kg: Why the Weight Specification Is Unusually Important in Canada

Transport Canada defines medium drones as aircraft weighing more than 25 kg and not more than 150 kg. Large drones are over 150 kg and fall into special-operation pathways. The T100S’s 149.9 kg ceiling therefore appears intentionally close to a regulatory threshold that matters in several countries, including Canada.

However, Canadian legality is not determined by brochure weight alone. A medium-drone Advanced operation needs the appropriate pilot certificate, registration and safety-assurance declaration or Pre-Validated Declaration for the specific operation. Dimensions and Canadian Transport Planning

A folded footprint around 1.12 m × 0.90 m sounds compact relative to the deployed aircraft, but a working T100S system includes batteries, charger or generator, spray tank, spreader or lift hardware, water/chemical handling and spare components. Canadian operators moving between large rural blocks should plan the trailer as a production system rather than simply a place to fit the aircraft.

Cold-weather transport also matters. Lithium battery performance and charging behaviour change at low temperature. The published 0–40°C operating reference means winter storage, transport and shoulder-season operation need deliberate battery conditioning rather than assuming summer performance.

85 L Spraying and 40–50 L/min Flow

The T100S launch configuration uses an 85 L tank. Its 40 L/min standard maximum flow is more important than tank capacity alone because flow determines whether the aircraft can maintain a target L/ha while increasing speed. The optional high-flow/mist configuration reaches 50 L/min.

For Canadian pesticide work, hardware capability is secondary to the label. Health Canada’s June 2026 policy allows RPAS application when a product is registered for conventional aerial application and the label does not prohibit RPAS, but operators must follow the approved aerial directions exactly. The 126 L hopper carries up to 90 kg of compatible material and supports approximately 0.5–10 mm particles with the correct feed hardware. Peak discharge up to 400 kg/min is a hardware/test-condition maximum, not a recommended agronomic rate.

Canadian operators should calculate both hopper volume and material density. A low-density seed can fill the hopper before reaching 90 kg; dense fertilizer can reach the weight limit before the hopper is physically full.

95 kg Lift Specification

The T100S lift system adds a third productive role. A 95 kg suspended payload can move inputs or equipment across difficult farm terrain, but suspended loads create pendulum forces and different risk than a rigid spray tank. Route shape, wind, rigging, cable length and centre of mass all matter.
