DJI D14000iE Pre-Operation Checklist: Engine Oil, Fuel & Air Filter
Share
The D14000iE pre-operation inspection is designed to stop simple maintenance issues before they become shutdowns, fire hazards or engine-damage events in the field.
Quick Answer: Before each operation, place the generator on a stable surface with the engine switch OFF. Check for oil or fuel spills, remove flammable material near the muffler and fan hood, inspect damaged or loose hardware, and verify shields and fasteners. Then check fuel level, engine-oil level and the sponge air-filter element.

Common condition checks
Look for spilled engine oil or fuel. Remove flammable material, particularly around the muffler and fan hood. Repair or replace rusted, broken, damaged, deformed or loose parts. Confirm the muffler shield and fan hood are secure and nuts, bolts and screws are tightened.

Fuel level
DJI recommends filling the fuel tank before operation. The manual specifies unleaded fuel of at least 91 RON with ethanol below 10% by volume, except for the separate Brazil specification. Do not overfill.
If a fuel-delivery fault is separately identified, exact active service parts include the D14000iE Zongshen Gasoline Pump and Gasoline Pump Filter.
Engine oil level
Low engine oil can damage the engine. The built-in oil sensor can stop engine operation when oil falls below the safety level, so an unexpected flameout can be an oil-protection event rather than a failed starter.

Air-filter condition
A dirty sponge filter reduces airflow into the electronic fuel-injection unit and reduces generator performance. The D14000iE Preventive Maintenance Pack is the general recurring-service handoff. The D14000iE RATO Air Filter Paper Element is explicitly for the RATO build, so verify generator build compatibility before ordering.
